Back in 2017, I interviewed Jason Karp, Ph.D., an exercise scientist, author, blogger, and running coach, for FOX 5 NY. In Run Your Fat Off: Running Smarter for a Leaner and Fitter You (Reader's Digest, 2017), Dr. Karp lays out his best advice on losing weight and keeping it off. As someone who has had many ups and downs with weight while also being a distance runner, I'm not convinced that running is the easiest way to manage weight (hence the "easy to sabotage headline") but your mileage may vary.
